Third Generation 2016 Honda Pilot SUV to be released in Summer
The Four Wheel Drive 2016 Honda Pilot V6 is lighter, curvier, more efficient and more powerful Crossover Sport Utility Vehicle expected to be released this Summer. All of the various Honda Pilot come with a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated SOHC V6 that produces 280 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Depending on the trim level, it may have a 6-speed or 9-speed auto transmission. 2016 Pilot has gained 30 hp and 7 lb-ft compared to 2015 Pilot. 2016 Honda Pilot is an All Wheel Drive SUV based on Intelligent Variable Torque Management for all Four Wheels, or i-VTM4 which not only gives varying torque to front and rear axles but also distribute varying amounts of torque to each rear wheel. This makes it a powerful AWD 4×4 Sport Utility Vehicle.
Both two-wheel and all-wheel drive Pilots Honda come with Intelligent Traction Management, which allows on-the-fly selection of several drive modes for conditions like mud, sand or snow.
Honda Pilot will be released in five major trims: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and Elite and two sub-trims — EX with Honda Sensing and EX-L with Honda Sensing. Honda Sensing is a bundle of driver safety features like collision warning and mitigation braking, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control and so on.
All trims get the 3.5-liter V6, three trims LX, EX, EX-L come with 6-speed transmission and the Touring and Elite with the nine-speed transmissions. Elite comes with heated and vented front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic roof and blind-spot sensors with a rear cross-traffic monitors.
