The 2013 new Ranger Extra Cab with laterally opening doors is called a Smart Cab. Due to its extreme popularity used Extra Cab is always hard to get a reasonable price. In some months price of an equivalent Extra Cab is the same as the price of a used Double Cab and customers in some countries are still willing to buy them because of the advantage they get in Custom duty.

Extended Cab has both Commercial and local uses. Since it has some searting capacity in the cab it can seat a driver and 4 passengers but since it has a larger bed than a Single Cab it can still pick a hefty load. In the past a customer had to access the seatings in the rear of the cab through the front doors but new Smart Cabs come with small laterally opening doors for quick access which makes them equally useful at home and on mines, farms, factories, construction sites and offices.
